An avatar lead for a series costs $0.95 once, then $0.184 to $0.55 per second depending on quality tier. A 3 minute episode with the plus tier is $44.10, and ten 20 second clips on standard are $36.80. The lead keeps one face across every episode because you reuse the same avatar_handle.

Series are a live format: Metricool reports (read 2026-10-03) that TikTok and the agency Amplify run a program, The Next Episode, to fund creator-led series for brands. A series lives or dies on a lead the audience recognises.

Create the lead once

POST /v1/avatar-1.0/generate takes an avatar_handle and an input of a prompt, props or a photo. The handle is stored without the leading @. Creation is a fixed $0.95. The full request is on the avatar page.

Per second pricing

The talking-video endpoint takes exactly one of script or video_inputs, and a job runs 4 to 60 seconds. Resolution is 720p. The quality tier sets the rate.

plus (default)$0.245$14.70$44.10$73.50
max$0.55$33.00$99.00$165.00

What a job cannot do

Only one resolved avatar is supported per final video, and scene backgrounds must resolve to one shared scene. For a two person scene, make two jobs and cut between them. Inline captions are capped at 60 seconds. A product in frame raises the rates to $0.194, $0.258 and $0.58 per second.

Planning a season

Because a job caps at 60 seconds, a 3 minute episode is three 60 second jobs, then one assembly with Timeline 1.0 at $0.10 per started minute, so $0.30 for 3 minutes. On plus that is $44.10 plus $0.30, or $44.40 per episode. A season of eight is $355.20 before retries.

The avatar fits talking, host or monologue formats. For action shots across locations, a video model is the better fit, and the two can share a series.
