Qwen Image Max backdrop plates for product composites

Generate empty lifestyle backdrops with Qwen Image Max, then place the real product photo: vendor facts, price, and Sume's text-only catalog entry.

Can Qwen Image Max help with product photos if it cannot edit?

Yes, as a backdrop generator. qwen/qwen-image-max is text-to-image only on Sume, so it cannot take your product photo, but it can produce the empty table, shelf or room that you then composite the real product onto in your own design tool.

That keeps the product pixels untouched, which matters when a listing must match what ships. The model only supplies the scene.

What does the vendor say about this model?

The fal page describes Qwen Image Max as improving on the Qwen Image Plus series by "enhancing the realism and naturalness of images", and prices it at $0.075 per image. It makes no explicit claim about text rendering, so do not plan on printing label copy through it.

How do I write a plate prompt?

Describe the surface, light direction and empty space, and say where the product will sit: "empty marble counter, window light from the left, clear area in the lower centre". Match the light direction to your product shot, or the composite will look pasted on.

Choose the ratio for the final listing now, since changing it later means regenerating. A 4:3 or 3:4 plate covers most listing crops.

When is an edit model better?

If you would rather have the model place the product itself, use an editing row such as Seedream, which accepts references; the trade-off is that it may change the product. For a side-by-side of the two Qwen rows, read Qwen Image vs Qwen Image Max on Sume.

Generation is billed per completed image, so a batch of plates costs the endpoint rate times n, and failed requests are not billed.
