Product launch teaser video with an AI avatar and your product image
Pass a product_image to a Sume avatar clip and the avatar presents it. The per-second rate rises about 5 percent; a 20-second teaser costs $3.88 at standard.
Add a product_image to the talking-video request and the presenter shows your product in the clip. Use it for a launch teaser of 15 to 30 seconds with one claim and one date. The image must be a fetchable public HTTPS URL, and the product image adds a small per-second surcharge.
If you want a fuller 45-second version, the same request works with about 126 words. That costs $8.73 at standard, $11.61 at plus or $26.10 at max with a product image, so decide on the 20-second version first and extend only if the message needs it.
Rates with and without a product image
Rates differ by quality tier and by whether a product image is present.
| Quality | No product image | With product image | 20 s with image |
|---|---|---|---|
| standard | $0.184 | $0.194 | $3.88 |
| plus (default) | $0.245 | $0.258 | $5.16 |
| max | $0.55 | $0.58 | $11.60 |
Script for a 20-second teaser
About 56 words fit in 20 seconds. Lead with the thing the product does, give the date, and end on one action. Keep numbers out unless they come from your own published page.
Run a preview first. A preview shows how the product image and the avatar sit in the first frame. A change to the script, avatar, scene or aspect ratio needs a new preview, while a change to quality alone does not.
Do not claim anything the product page does not already say. A teaser is the wrong place for a new price, a new spec or a comparison with another brand.
Choices that matter
These choices change how the clip reads, not what it costs.
- 9:16 is the default; use 16:9 for a web hero.
- Use a clean product photo on a plain background so it reads at 720p.
- Add captions with the slam or punch style.
- Keep one product per clip; a second product is a second job.
Cost to launch
A teaser at 20 seconds with an image is about $3.88 at standard, so three aspect-ratio variants are about $11.64. Compare that to a shoot, and decide whether plus is worth the difference on the hero version only.
If the launch date slips, only the script changes, so you re-preview and re-render. Keep the date out of the clip when it is still moving, and put it on the page instead.
