Open house teaser: four Omni room clips, 360p drafts then 720p finals
A 40-second open-house teaser from four listing photos on Sume: image-to-video clips drafted at 360p, finished at 720p, joined on a timeline. Cost per pass.

For a 40-second open-house teaser, send four room photos as first frames to Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash on Sume, draft each 10-second clip at 360p, approve them, re-run the keepers at 720p, and join the four on Timeline 1.0. At the Sume rates in the worked example below, the draft pass is about $1.50, the final pass $5.00 and the timeline $0.10.
Why the photos are the first frames
A listing photo is the one thing that must stay true. The image_url route uses your photo as the first frame and the model animates from it (Sume docs: Video Router, read 2026-10-05). Keep the prompt to camera moves, such as a slow push-in or a pan across the room, and do not describe features the photo does not show. A clip that adds a window or a view that the room does not have misleads a buyer. Check each final against the photo.
Google's Omni 1.1 Flash page adds first and last frame control and a 360p draft mode for storyboard iteration (Google, read 2026-10-05). On Sume, the first-frame field is image_url.
The plan
- Shots: exterior, living room, kitchen, primary bedroom. One photo each.
- Aspect ratio: 16:9 for a listing site, 9:16 for a social post. Omni takes only these two.
- Draft: 360p, 10 seconds each, four jobs.
- Approve or re-prompt each shot; a re-roll is another draft job.
- Final: 720p, same model, same photo, same prompt. A new job, not an upscale.
- Assemble: four timeline slots at starts 0, 10, 20, 30 with a 0.25 second fade after the first.
Cost
The rates are the provider list in Sume's estimator ($0.03 and $0.10 per second at 360p and 720p) times Sume's 1.25. Confirm them in GET /v1/videos/models and on the API pricing page before you quote a client.
| Pass | Jobs | Seconds | Rate per second | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 360p drafts | 4 | 40 | $0.0375 | $1.50 |
| 720p finals | 4 | 40 | $0.125 | $5.00 |
| Timeline render | 1 | 40 | $0.10 per minute | $0.10 |
| Total with no re-rolls | $6.60 |
Music and sound
Omni generates native audio on every job and the API rejects generate_audio: false. For a teaser, that is room tone or invented sound. The timeline takes one audio spine, so you can lay a music track under the cut and decide what to do with each clip's own audio before you render (Sume docs: Timeline 1.0, read 2026-10-05).
Send the plan call first. POST /v1/timeline-1.0/plan is unbilled and returns segment_count, billable_minutes and estimated_cost_usd_micros, so you can check the $0.10 line without spending.
Re-rolls and what to approve
Approve a draft on three things: the room is the room in the photo, the camera move is smooth and slow, and nothing new appears. Reject drafts with warped door frames, furniture that moves or a changed view. A re-roll at 360p costs $0.375 per 10-second clip in the worked example, so two re-rolls on every one of the four shots add $3.00, which is less than one extra 720p pass of the whole teaser.
Do not re-roll at 720p to fix something a draft already showed. The reverse is the common mistake: skipping the draft on a shot you trust and paying $1.25 each time it misses. Sume reserves the estimated amount at submit and refunds a failed job, but a job that completes with a bad clip is billed like a good one.
