noon image requirements and what to ask Sume for
noon Seller Help Center image rules (JPEG, 660 px width, 10 MB, 70-80% frame, white or light grey) and the Sume Image API request that fits them.

What are noon's image requirements?
noon's Seller Help Center accepts JPEG or JPG only, asks for a width of at least 660 pixels with a width-by-height ratio of at least 0.5, at least 72 PPI, a file under 10 MB, in RGB/sRGB. The product should cover at least 70-80% of the frame, on a pure white background (light grey for fashion).
The primary image should be a front view; lifestyle images are not permitted as primary but can be part of the selection. noon recommends a minimum of 3 high-quality images.
| Rule | What the page says |
|---|---|
| Format | JPEG or JPG only |
| Width | At least 660 pixels |
| Aspect ratio | Width by height ratio at least 0.5 |
| Resolution | At least 72 PPI |
| File size | Not above 10 MB |
| Colour | RGB/sRGB |
| Frame | Product covers at least 70-80%; 10% margin top and bottom for vertical shots, 5% each side for horizontal |
| Background | Pure white; light grey for fashion |
| Never | Logos, watermarks, unwanted text or objects; CAD drawings, thumbnails, illustrations; placeholder images; accessories not included |
What do you ask Sume for?
Ask for output_format: "jpeg", which is in Sume's documented list of png, jpeg, webp. For a portrait product shot, google/nano-banana-2 lists 3:4 and 4:5 and resolution tiers 0.5K, 1K, 2K, 4K. Width over height of 0.75 (3:4) or 0.8 (4:5) is above the 0.5 floor.
Put the margin and the background in the prompt. For fashion, ask for light grey instead of white.
curl -X POST https://api.sume.com/v1/images \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $SUME_API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{
"model": "google/nano-banana-2",
"prompt": "Same product, unchanged, front view, pure white background, product fills about 75 percent of the frame with a 10 percent margin top and bottom, no logo, no text",
"input_references": [{"type": "image_url", "image_url": {"url": "https://example.com/packshot.png"}}],
"aspect_ratio": "3:4",
"resolution": "1K",
"output_format": "jpeg",
"n": 3
}'Which requests cover the three-image gallery?
noon recommends front, back and other angles, with the front view as primary. Use one request per angle and keep the same reference product; n 3 would give three takes of the same prompt, not three angles, so change the prompt per angle.
Check n against the model's catalog descriptor; the Image API docs say per-model ceilings are lower than the global limit.
| noon rule | Sume field | Value |
|---|---|---|
| JPEG only | output_format | jpeg |
| Ratio at least 0.5 | aspect_ratio | 3:4 or 4:5 |
| Width 660 px | resolution | 1K, then measure the file |
| White or light grey | Prompt | Name the colour |
| 70-80% frame | Prompt | State fill and margins |
What must you measure yourself?
Sume's docs do not list PPI or colour-space controls for these models, so check 72 PPI and sRGB on the downloaded file before upload. Measure the 660 px width, the 10 MB limit and the frame coverage, since noon says it can reject an image that is not clear enough to recognise the product.
