Movember starts a conversation about men's health in November, and a work, club or family team can keep its fundraising page lively with four weekly update clips made from ordinary phone photos. Each clip is five to eight seconds of a photo animated with Seedance 2.5, with a caption cue that carries the one number or message of the week. On Movember's own page (read 2026-10-03), the charity describes itself as a grassroots, community-led movement that has funded more than AUD $1.8 billion of work in mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer.

That is all this post takes from Movember. Fundraising totals, donation links and team claims must come from your own page, and you should check Movember's current rules for teams before you post.

What Movember says about itself

Quoting a charity's numbers is sensitive. Use the ones on its page, say where they come from, and leave your team's numbers to your own donation page.

Four weekly clips

One idea per week, with one photo each. Keep your own team's real faces in the story.

  • Week 1: the team photo and why you signed up.
  • Week 2: a funny moustache progress shot, animated with a small motion.
  • Week 3: a thank-you to donors, with their first names if they said yes.
  • Week 4: the last-day push with your page link as the final card.

Animate one photo

Ask for a small motion, such as a slow push in or a light flicker. Faces are the hardest thing for video models to keep stable, so check each clip for faces changing shape.

curl -X POST https://api.sume.com/v1/videos \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $SUME_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{
    "model": "seedance-2.5",
    "prompt": "Slow push in on the group. Everyone smiles slightly. Nothing else moves.",
    "duration": 5,
    "resolution": "720p",
    "aspect_ratio": "9:16",
    "frame_images": [{
      "type": "image_url",
      "image_url": {"url": "https://example.com/team.jpg"},

    }]
  }'

Be careful

Get permission from everyone whose face appears, and from donors before you show their names. Do not make health claims; leave those to Movember's resources. The example URL is a placeholder for a photo you uploaded to a public HTTPS address, and Sume does not post anywhere, so you upload the finished clips to your fundraising page yourself.
