MiniMax H3 Max 40% off ends Oct 15: what Sume bills
fal shows H3 Max 40% off until Oct 15. Sume bills the regular list x 1.25 throughout: $0.0625, $0.10 and $0.20 per second at 480p, 768p and 1080p.

If you call MiniMax H3 Max through Sume, the October 15 end of the launch discount does not change your bill: Sume prices the model at the regular fal list times 1.25, which is $0.0625 per second at 480p, $0.10 at 768p and $0.20 at 1080p on the day you read this and on October 16. The discount only matters if you buy H3 Max directly.
fal's H3 Max page currently shows promotional rates of $0.03, $0.048 and $0.096 per second (40% off for a limited time, ending October 15) and regular rates of $0.05, $0.08 and $0.16 per second afterwards. MiniMax's own pay-as-you-go page lists H3-Max at $0.05 per second for 480P and $0.08 for 768P. Sume's Video Router docs say every model, minimax-h3-max included, is billed at the 1.25 house margin, and the rate table in Sume's pricing code notes that it locks the ongoing list, never the launch promo.
Promo, regular and Sume per second
Sume's column is the regular list multiplied by 1.25, computed with the same estimator the API uses for the reserve.
| Resolution | fal promo to Oct 15 | fal regular from Oct 15 | Sume (regular x 1.25) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 480p | $0.03 | $0.05 | $0.0625 |
| 768p | $0.048 | $0.08 | $0.10 |
| 1080p | $0.096 | $0.16 | $0.20 |
What a clip costs under each rate
Whole-clip totals make the gap concrete. A 5 second 768p clip is 5 x $0.048 = $0.24 at the promo, 5 x $0.08 = $0.40 at the regular fal list, and 5 x $0.10 = $0.50 on Sume. A 10 second 1080p clip is 10 x $0.096 = $0.96, 10 x $0.16 = $1.60 and 10 x $0.20 = $2.00 respectively.
Sume reserves the Sume amount when the job is accepted and captures it on success, rounded up to the next cent for the credit count, so a 5 second 480p job (5 x $0.0625 = $0.3125) shows as 32 credits. Twenty 5 second 768p test clips are therefore 20 x $0.50 = $10.00 on Sume, against $4.80 at the promo rate if you could buy them from fal directly this week.
Before you budget off a promo
A promotional rate has an end date printed on the vendor page, and a budget built on it silently gains 67% on the day it ends: $0.048 to $0.08 per second is a 1.667x step. Budget a Sume plan on the regular column and any week you buy at a promo is a gap in your favor elsewhere, not on Sume.
To see what a model costs on your account without guessing, read the model's pricing from GET /v1/videos/models (the video generation docs describe the pricing fields), and read usage.cost on the finished job, which is the Sume billable amount. Set a spend limit before a bulk run; the generation admission page explains how reserves and the 402 insufficient_credits check work.
