MiniMax H3 has 768p, not 720p: 60 cents per 8 seconds on Sume
minimax-h3 runs native 480p and 768p on Sume, not 720p. An 8-second 768p clip is 60 cents, so 100 prompts cost $60.00 and 1,000 cost $600.00.

minimax-h3 on Sume produces native 480p and 768p only, and the docs say 768p is first-class and should not be treated as 720p. An 8-second 768p clip is 60 cents billable, so a stored library of 100 prompts costs $60.00 and one of 1,000 costs $600.00.
That is the lowest 8-second price in the six-model set, 40 cents below wan-3.0 at 720p. The catch is the size: if a pipeline expects 720p, a 768p file needs a check before it goes in.
Price by length at 768p
MiniMax H3 accepts 5 to 15 seconds only. Anything shorter has to be raised to 5 seconds, which matters if the library has 3- and 4-second prompts left from the Sora days. The list price is $0.06 per second at 768p and $0.05 at 480p.
| Length | 480p | 768p | 100 clips at 768p |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5 s | $0.32 | $0.38 | $38.00 |
| 8 s | $0.50 | $0.60 | $60.00 |
| 10 s | $0.63 | $0.75 | $75.00 |
| 12 s | $0.75 | $0.90 | $90.00 |
| 15 s | $0.94 | $1.13 | $113.00 |
The arithmetic and the rounding
For 8 seconds at 768p: 8 x $0.06 = $0.48 list, x 1.25 = $0.60, which is 60 cents. For 5 seconds: 5 x $0.06 = $0.30 list, x 1.25 = $0.375, which rounds up to 38 cents. For 15 seconds: 15 x $0.06 = $0.90, x 1.25 = $1.125, which rounds up to 113 cents.
The rounding is per clip, so 100 five-second clips cost $38.00 rather than $37.50. The Sume docs say the billable amount is the provider list times 1.25.
What 100 and 1,000 prompts cost at each length
A library rarely has one length. If it holds 5-second hooks, 8-second ads and 12-second explainers in equal thirds, the three prices are 38, 60 and 90 cents, a mean of 62.7 cents per clip. For 1,000 prompts that is $626.42 with the third split 334, 333 and 333. Run the same split on wan-3.0 at 720p and you get $1,042.92.
The gap shows where MiniMax earns its place: bulk short clips where 768p is acceptable and audio is wanted anyway. It is a poor fit for any prompt that needs the 4-second length, because the model's range starts at 5 seconds.
Other things the catalog says
The MiniMax H3 catalog entry has native stereo audio always on, with no audio toggle, and it accepts text-to-video, first and end frames and reference-to-video. The Video Router docs also list 2K and 4K as 768p upscales that Sume bills if the request asks for them, so leave those values out of a cost-sensitive library.
If the library needs real 1080p, minimax-h3-max reaches it as a latent refinement from native 768p: 160 cents for 8 seconds. It is a different model with its own price, so test it on its own.
- Send
resolution: "768p"explicitly; a 720p request is not a MiniMax H3 value. - Do not feed 3- or 4-second prompts to this model; the minimum is 5 seconds.
- Compare against wan-3.0 at 720p before you accept the saving.
