Microsoft Teams app icon 192x192: generate at 1024 and resize
Teams wants a 192x192 PNG color icon, a perfect square with the logo in a 120x120 safe area. Generate 1024x1024 on Sume with GPT Image 2.5 and resize.
Microsoft Teams asks for a 192x192 PNG full-bleed color icon that is a perfect square, with square corners and the logo inside a 120x120 safe area. 192x192 is below GPT Image 2.5's pixel floor on Sume, so request 1024x1024 with the logo small and centered, then resize to 192x192.
Teams' rules are from Microsoft Learn; Sume's from the Image API docs. Both read 2026-10-01.
What does Teams require?
The page lists a 192x192 full-bleed color icon in PNG, a perfect square without rounded corners, with the logo kept within a 120x120 pixel safe area. The default icon for the app bar is 32x32, and there is an optional focused icon at 32x32.
How big should the logo be in my source?
The 120x120 safe area is 62.5% of 192 on each side (our arithmetic). In a 1024x1024 source, keep the logo inside the central 640x640 pixels.
| Item | At 192x192 | At 1024x1024 |
|---|---|---|
| Whole icon | 192 | 1024 |
| Logo safe area | 120 | 640 |
| Edge margin each side | 36 | 192 |
What do I send?
Ask for a flat full-bleed background so no corner is cut or transparent.

}'Can the model draw the exact safe area?
Not reliably. Sume's docs make no promise about where a subject lands, so check the result against the 640x640 box and crop or re-prompt if it spills out.
