Microsoft Advertising image sizes: 703x368, 1:1 and 4:1 from AI

Microsoft's Image object has six subtypes from 4:1 to 16:9. Sume cannot set exact pixels, so request the ratio, then crop each subtype to its minimum.

Microsoft Advertising's Image object defines six subtypes: 16:9, 15:10, 4:3, 1:1, 1.91:1 and 4:1, with the recommended GenericImage at 703x368 or larger. Sume's docs list 16:9, 4:3, 1:1 and 4:1 as aspect_ratio values, so generate one wide hero and crop the rest in your own tool.

Microsoft facts are from the Learn page for the Image data object, read 2026-10-01. Sume facts are from the Images API docs.

What are the subtypes and minimums?

Microsoft Image subtypes, read 2026-10-01
SubtypeRatioMinimum
Image16x916:9640x360
Image15x1015:10300x200
Image4x34:3100x75
Image1x11:1128x128
Image191x1001.91:1703x368
Image4x14:1512x128

How do I get one source for all six?

Generate at a size well above the largest minimum, leave the subject centered with clear margins, then crop. The 16:9 ratio is the closest model output to 1.91:1, so request that and cut the sides to 703x368. The call below makes the wide source.

curl -X POST "https://api.sume.com/v1/images" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $SUME_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{
    "model": "google/nano-banana-2",
    "prompt": "Running shoe centered on a plain studio background, wide margins, no text",
    "aspect_ratio": "16:9",
    "resolution": "2K",
    "output_format": "jpeg"
  }'

What does Sume not do?

Sume does not return exact pixel dimensions in v1, and the docs say 4:5 is native rather than exactly 1080x1350, so measure each crop. The Data field Microsoft takes is base64 of at most 102,400 characters, which is the limit to check next. Confirm current rules on Microsoft's page.
