Meal prep weekly menu clip: 12 Mondays to year-end, 51 cents each
A meal-prep cook can post a weekly menu clip every Monday until Dec 28 for about $6.12 in total: an 8-second clip plus a text-to-speech line each week.

A meal-prep cook can post a weekly menu clip every Monday from October 12 to December 28, twelve in all, for about $6.12 on Sume. Each week is an 8-second Wan 3.0 clip at 480p for $0.50 plus a text-to-speech menu line for about 1 cent, which is $0.51.
Subscribers decide on Monday and Tuesday, so the clip has to arrive early. The cost is small enough that the real work is the habit. This post sets up a repeatable template so each Monday is one change of text.
The weekly template
Keep three things constant: the background scene, the camera move and the opening line. Change two things: the menu text and one prop in the prompt. A prompt like "overhead shot of glass containers on a kitchen counter, slow push-in, warm morning light" works as the base. Add "with roasted vegetables and rice" or "with tomato soup" as the week's dish.
The voice line reads the menu: four or five dish names and the order deadline. Text-to-speech is $0.0475 per 1,000 characters (read 2026-10-10; the text-to-speech post has the details). A line of about 130 characters, roughly 8 seconds of speech to match the clip, is $0.0062, which rounds to about 1 cent.
- Constant: counter scene, camera push, opening line, deadline wording.
- Weekly: dish names and one prop in the prompt.
- Generate on Sunday night, post Monday at lunch.
Twelve weeks, itemized
Wan 3.0 at 480p is $0.0625 per second, so 8 seconds is $0.50 (read 2026-10-10, Video Generation docs). Add about 1 cent of voiceover per week and the weekly cost is $0.51.
The count of Mondays from October 12 through December 28 is 12: Oct 12, 19, 26; Nov 2, 9, 16, 23, 30; Dec 7, 14, 21, 28. So 12 x $0.51 = $6.12.
| Item | Per week | 12 weeks |
|---|---|---|
| Wan 3.0 clip, 8 s, 480p | $0.50 | $6.00 |
| Text-to-speech menu line, about 130 characters | $0.01 | $0.12 |
| Total | $0.51 | $6.12 |
Combining clip and voice
The clip and the voice are separate files. The simplest route is to post the clip with the voice laid over it by your phone editor. If you want to do it inside Sume, a Timeline 1.0 render takes the voiceover as the audio spine and the clip as a video slot, for $0.10 per output minute, so an 8-second spot costs $0.10. That raises the weekly cost to $0.61 and the 12-week total to $7.32. Check the document with the free plan endpoint first. For the assembly details, see video with voiceover and captions.
Holiday weeks and the calendar
Plan around the weeks when customers behave differently. The Monday of Thanksgiving week, November 23, is when many people decide whether to cook from scratch, so lead with a heat-and-eat option. Black Friday falls on November 27 and Cyber Monday on November 30, which means the November 30 clip lands in a noisy feed; keep that week's clip simple and put the deadline in the first line. The December 21 and 28 Mondays are the last two before the new year, so tell subscribers early which delivery days you skip.
Write the whole twelve-week prompt list in one sitting, then generate each week on Sunday. A spreadsheet with the week, the dish text, the voice line and the posted date is enough. If a week fails, you lose 51 cents and a few minutes, not a campaign.
When the plan breaks
Food clips drift: containers change shape, steam looks odd, or a hand appears. Because each week is a 50-cent job, regenerate rather than fix. Watch for diet or allergy claims in your script, since the video and the voice should only say what your menu sheet says. Put allergen information in text where people can read it, not in a spoken line.
If you later want to batch several weeks at once, the pattern in bulk run ad matrix shows how to name items so you can map results back.
