Lyria 3.5 release date: where it is available

Google announced Lyria 3.5, its music generation model, in the Gemini app on 2026-09-04; its developer page documents the lyria-3.5 Gemini API id. It first appeared in Google Flow Music on 2026-07-29. Sume's Music Router lists lyria-3.5, and sume/music-auto resolves to it today.

What is new in Lyria 3.5?

Google describes expressive vocals and richer arrangements. Its Flow Music post lists four gains: musicality, lyrics, vocals, and easier control of tempo and duration. In the Gemini app you can pick or describe a genre and choose vocal or instrumental. Google's developer page adds that it makes songs of "a couple of minutes" with 44.1 kHz stereo output.

Does Sume have Lyria 3.5?

What about the older Music 1.0 route?

Music 1.0 (sume/music-1.0) is retiring gradually. Its routes keep working, but every request now resolves through the Music Router. New integrations should call POST /v1/music-router/generate.
