LTX-2.5 license ($10M ARR line) vs hosted video ids
LTX-2.x Community license is free under $10M ARR and paid above it. Here is what changes if you call a hosted Sume video id instead of running weights.

The LTX-2.x Community license is reported as free for companies under $10M ARR, with a paid agreement above that. If you are near or over that line, the license is a business decision as well as a technical one. Calling a hosted Sume catalog id means you do not download or run the weights yourself.
What is reported
An llm-stats write-up of the LTX-2.5 launch describes the license terms below.
| Company size | Terms reported |
|---|---|
| Under $10M ARR | Free under the Community license |
| Above $10M ARR | Paid agreement required |
What changes with a hosted id
With self-hosted weights you carry the license, the GPU capacity, and the upgrade path. With a hosted catalog id you send a request and read a job result. Sume's video catalog lists ids such as wan-3.0, seedance-2.5 and minimax-h3, and you choose one from GET /v1/video-router/models or GET /v1/videos/models.
Billing on Sume is provider list times 1.25 on every model. Resolution, duration and aspect ratio are per-model, so read capabilities from the catalog rather than assuming one envelope.
What this does not tell you
A hosted id does not remove every license question. Each model has its own provider terms, and this post does not summarize them. Sume's docs state billing and catalog behavior, not the license of any model's weights or the rules for commercial use of outputs. Check the provider terms for the specific model before you ship.
Choosing between them
Run the weights yourself if you need to fine-tune, need offline operation, or are comfortably under the license threshold. Call a hosted id if you want per-job pricing and no infrastructure. Sume does not host an LTX id in the docs read for this post, so a switch means choosing a different model and testing your prompts again.
