Is the Sume Studio Agent an MCP server? No: use mcp.sume.com/mcp

The Studio Agent is not a public MCP connector. Point MCP clients at https://mcp.sume.com/mcp for Sume's tools; use Agent Completions to run the agent.

No. The Studio Agent is not a public MCP connector. An MCP client connects to Sume's hosted server at https://mcp.sume.com/mcp, which exposes Sume's tools (tools_list, tools_schema, script_run, jobs and more) rather than the agent. To run the agent from code, use Agent Completions.

This follows Sume's MCP overview and Agent Completions, read 2026-10-06.

Which door do I use?

The table below lists each item as documented.

Entry points from docs.sume.com, read 2026-10-06.

What does Agent Completions require?

A request returns 202 with a receipt. generation_spend_cap_usd is required and has no default. assistant turns are rejected, each run starts a new thread, and the only model is sume-agent. Poll the run until it ends, or take the terminal webhook.
