Ideogram 4.5 is 0.8c to 22c per image: which tiers does Sume sell?
Ideogram lists four quality modes from 0.8 cents to 22 cents at native 2K. Sume's Image API sells low, medium and high at $0.0375, $0.075 and $0.275 an image.

Ideogram's launch material for Ideogram 4.5 (2026-09-30) describes four quality modes priced from 0.8 cents to 22 cents per image at native 2K, and says the model is available in the app, the API and through partners. If you are comparing that range with Sume, the question is which of the four modes you can actually call there.
Short answer: Sume's ideogram/ideogram-v4.5 accepts quality: low|medium|high (default medium), so three of the four price points are reachable through the Sume Image API, and the cheapest mode is not listed in Sume's docs.
Vendor range against Sume
The three Sume rows match the fal per-image list prices that Sume's docs quote, so the gap between the vendor figure and Sume's is the 1.25 margin plus the 5.5% fee, not a different rate card.
Sume prices every job at the vendor list price × 1.25, then adds a 5.5% fee on that result, so $1.00 of list becomes $1.31875 (how the formula works). The tables below show both the catalog price (list × 1.25) and the all-in figure with the fee.
| Quality | Ideogram list | Sume catalog (x 1.25) | All-in (5.5% fee) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lowest mode (0.8c) | $0.008 | not listed in Sume docs | not listed |
| low | $0.03 | $0.0375 | $0.039562 |
| medium | $0.06 | $0.075 | $0.079125 |
| high | $0.22 | $0.275 | $0.290125 |
What the margin buys
The Sume price covers the same async job lifecycle as the rest of the catalog (one POST /v1/images, polling or webhooks, one balance), plus an edit path: with input_references set, Sume edits the first image and treats up to four more as references. If you only need a single direct call to Ideogram and no other model, the vendor price is lower by construction. If you also generate with GPT Image 2.5, Nano Banana or Seedream, one catalog and one bill is the trade.
Open weights
Ideogram says open weights are coming 'soon'. Nothing on Sume depends on that; the hosted endpoint is the only path here.
