How to remix a video with AI: four routes by what you change

Remixing a clip means a prompt edit, a person swap, a motion transfer, or a new clip from references. Which Sume route fits each, with the fields.

Pick the remix route by what you want to keep. Keep your footage and change something in it: a prompt edit on gemini-omni-flash-1.1. Keep your footage and change who is in it: h3-max-recast. Keep the motion and change the character: higgsfield-genjutsu. Keep only the idea: generate a new clip from references. These are separate Video Router routes with different fields, which is why one prompt cannot cover them all.

Before you remix someone else's clip

Remixing a clip you do not own is a rights and platform-policy question, not a model question. YouTube's own recent update on re-uploads is covered in the Shorts post below. Edit your own footage freely, and trim it first: the source for an Omni edit is capped at 10 seconds on Google's page, and Sume's video-trim endpoint can cut a workspace clip down before you submit.
