Holiday hours videos for 20 locations: one bulk run, one clip each
Thanksgiving is Nov 26 and Christmas Day is Dec 25, 2026. Queue one captioned holiday-hours clip per location with a bulk run instead of editing 20 files.

A business with several locations can announce Thanksgiving and Christmas hours with one bulk run instead of a manual edit per site. Thanksgiving Day is Thursday, November 26 and Christmas Day is Friday, December 25, per the U.S. Office of Personnel Management's 2026 schedule, read on 2026-10-03. Put the locations in a sheet, one row per location with its own hours, and queue one run per row. Sume's bulk-run feature accepts up to 100 runs in one request, with a concurrency setting that limits how many render at once.
This is a workflow note, not a template promise: which Format you run, and what its inputs are, depends on the catalog entry you pick. Read its inputs from the catalog before you build the sheet.
What the docs say about bulk runs
The bulk-run page describes the queue; the catalog page lists which Formats exist. Both are Sume's own docs and both were read for this post.
| Question | Answer from the docs | What it means for 20 locations |
|---|---|---|
| How many runs per request | Up to 100 | One request covers 20 sites with room to spare |
| How many at once | Set by the concurrency field | Pick a low number if you want to watch the first clips |
| Where Formats live | The catalog, under handle sume | Choose one whose inputs fit text and a photo |
| Dates on the holiday | OPM: Nov 26 and Dec 25 | Put these in every row's text |
Build the sheet
One row per location, with a handful of columns and nothing more. Fewer columns means fewer chances of a typo in hours on screen.
- Location name as it appears on the door.
- Thanksgiving hours, or the word closed.
- Christmas hours, or the word closed.
- A photo URL of that storefront, public HTTPS.
- A phone number to show on the last card.
Run, review, correct
Start with a run of two or three rows and watch the outputs before you queue the rest. A mistake found in row 1 costs one clip; found after 100 renders it costs 100. Compare each finished clip's on-screen hours against the sheet, line by line, because a person walking into a closed store remembers it.
If one location changes its hours later, rerun just that row rather than the batch.
Limits
Sume does not know your hours, and it does not tell you which days your sites should close. OPM's page lists the federal holiday schedule, which applies to federal employees; a private business sets its own, and local rules vary. Bulk output is only as good as the sheet. Spot-check a sample of every batch, and keep the sheet next to the finished files so the check is repeatable.
