A holiday media set of three Ideogram 4.5 images, one captioned clip and one stitched video per SKU comes to $0.48 per SKU, or $48.00 for 100 SKUs, using only prices Sume's docs state. That excludes the cost of generating the footage itself, which depends on the model and length you pick and is on Sume's API pricing page.

Timing is tight: Best Buy says it debuts on TikTok Shop in late October 2026 (read 2026-10-04), and retailers like it will be competing for the same holiday attention.

Which prices are stated in the docs?

These are the fixed ones. Everything else, such as video generation and token-priced GPT images, varies by model, size and quality; read the current list on the API pricing page or in GET /v1/catalog.

Prices stated in Sume docs, read 2026-10-04
ItemPriceUnit
Ideogram 4.5, medium quality$0.06per image
Standalone video captions$0.20per accepted job
Timeline 1.0 render$0.10per rounded-up output minute
Video trim$0.02per job
Trending videos search$0.10per accepted call

How does the per-SKU total work out?

Three medium Ideogram images are 3 x $0.06 = $0.18. One caption job is $0.20. One timeline render under a minute is $0.10. The sum is $0.48 per SKU, and 100 SKUs make $48.00.

Add a trim at $0.02 for each supplier clip you cut, and one trending search per product family at $0.10, if you use them.

What does the budget leave out?

Generated video, any image you redo, and your own review time. Retries are the usual overrun, so send an Idempotency-Key per SKU and asset on every create; the docs require it on trim and timeline renders.

  • Redo rate: count one in five images as a redo until you have seen your own.
  • Higher quality: Ideogram high is $0.22 an image, so a three-image set at high costs $0.66.
  • Longer renders: a Timeline output over a minute bills a second rounded-up minute.

How do you check the real spend?

Read GET /v1/usage with a job_id, run_id or thread_id and take debited_usd_micros from its summary, as our usage ledger post shows. Compare the first ten SKUs against this table before you run the rest.
