Hedra pricing plans in credits vs Sume per-second avatar video
Hedra sells credits: $20, $50 or $100 a month plus a $75 Teams plan, with no per-minute avatar cost on the page. Sume publishes a rate per second instead.
Hedra's pricing page, read on 2026-10-01, lists Basic at $20 a month for 2,000 credits, Pro at $50 for 7,200 credits, Ultra at $100 for 18,000 credits and Teams at $75 for 14,400 credits, all with commercial use allowed. It does not state a cost per minute of avatar or character video, a maximum video length or a resolution per plan. That makes the answer to "how much is a minute of Hedra" depend on the credit cost of the model you pick, which the page does not give.
Sume goes the other way: no credit bundle to decode, a published rate per second for each Avatar 1.0 quality tier.
Hedra plans and the missing number
What the page does and does not say.
| Plan | Price per month | Credits per month | Speed noted on page |
|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | $20 | 2,000 | Slower generations |
| Pro | $50 | 7,200 | Faster generation |
| Ultra | $100 | 18,000 | Fastest generation |
| Teams | $75 | 14,400 | Fastest generation |
The same minute, priced on Sume
Because Sume bills per second, a minute is easy to price. A 60-second avatar video with no product image is $11.04 on standard, $14.70 on plus and $33.00 on max. A 20-second clip is a third of that. If you also pass a product_image, the rate rises by $0.010, $0.013 or $0.030 per second respectively.
Credits can still be the better deal if you generate a lot on one plan and use general video and image models in the same account. At $50 for 7,200 credits, Hedra Pro costs about 0.7 cents per credit. Whether that is cheap per finished minute depends on credits per model, which you would need to read from Hedra's model catalog.
What is comparable and what is not
- Billing shape: a monthly credit pool versus a per-job charge with no monthly commitment.
- Output: Sume avatar video is script in, 720p presenter clip out, 4 to 60 seconds. Hedra's page does not list limits to compare against.
- Workflow: Hedra has a creative studio. Sume's surface is the API, a CLI and hosted tools for agents.
- Surprises: a failed Sume job releases or refunds its reserved usage, and a retry with the same
Idempotency-Keyreturns the original job instead of billing twice.
Limits
The 0.7 cents per credit figure is simple division of the listed price by the listed credits and ignores any annual discount or rollover. Hedra can change plans at any time; the page was read on the date above.
