By Sume's documented list prices, a 10-second MiniMax H3 2K upscale costs $1.63, a 10-second Gemini Omni Flash 1.1 clip at 1080p costs $1.88, and a 4K clip costs $2.00 on H3 against $3.75 on Omni. H3 is the cheaper large-frame option per second, but Omni is the one whose catalog row lists 1080p and 4K directly.

Check the live catalog row before you plan: the Video Router lists minimax-h3 at 480p and 768p, and says its 2K and 4K upscales are priced if a request includes them.

The numbers

Sume bills the provider list times 1.25. The documented list prices per second are: H3 2K $0.13 and 4K $0.16; Omni Flash 1.1 $0.03 at 360p, $0.10 at 720p, $0.15 at 1080p and $0.30 at 4K; H3 Max 1080p $0.16. A job's total rounds up to the cent.

What MiniMax says about 2K

MiniMax's own page (read 2026-10-05) says H3 generates up to 2K and up to 15 seconds and states that at 2K its per-second price is less than a third of mainstream models. This post does not test that claim against other vendors. It only compares the Sume rows: H3 at 2K is $0.1625 per second here, and Omni at 1080p is $0.1875.

MiniMax also says that its 2K path regenerates the base model's output in context, and the Sume docs describe the H3 2K and 4K as 768p upscales. So a 2K H3 clip is a 768p pass plus a priced upscale, not a separate native pass.

Limits that change the choice

Omni Flash 1.1 is 3 to 10 seconds, 16:9 or 9:16 only, with native synced audio. It also has an edit mode with a source video. H3 is 5 to 15 seconds, with native stereo audio and reference-to-video. If you need 15 seconds, only H3 gets there. If you need an aspect ratio other than 16:9 or 9:16, check the H3 catalog row.

Neither row's price includes retries. A second take at 4K on Omni costs $3.75 again, while a second 2K take on H3 is $1.63.

  • 10 s at 2K: H3, if the row still lists it, $1.63.
  • 10 s at 1080p: Omni $1.88, or H3 Max $2.00.
  • 10 s at 4K: H3 $2.00, Omni $3.75.

Planning a larger-frame budget

Say you need 20 finished 10-second clips. At H3 2K that is 20 x $1.63 = $32.60, if the live H3 row lists the resolution. At Omni 1080p it is 20 x $1.88 = $37.60. At H3 Max 1080p it is 20 x $2.00 = $40.00. At 4K the gap widens to $40.00 on H3 against $75.00 on Omni.

The cheapest path to any of these is to draft at 480p or 768p first. A 10-second H3 draft at 480p is $0.63 and at 768p is $0.75, and the upscale is a new priced step on the take you keep. Do not pay for 20 large frames when four will ship.

What the price check does not tell you

A price is not a quality ranking. Omni is a 3 to 10 second model with an edit mode and native synced audio; H3 is a 5 to 15 second model with native stereo audio and reference-to-video. Compare outputs on your own prompt, at the same length, and then compare the bills.
