Yes: you can add videos to a Google Business Profile from Google Search or Maps. Google's guidelines ask for videos up to 30 seconds long, up to 75 MB, at 720p or higher, and every upload is reviewed before it shows, which can take up to 24–48 hours.

The rules below come from Google's help page Manage your Business Profile photos & videos, read on 2026-09-28. The section on making a clip with AI uses Sume's Video generation docs.

What are the video requirements?

Google lists three hard numbers for video, plus two conditions that decide whether a video shows at all:

From Google Business Profile Help, Manage your Business Profile photos & videos, read 2026-09-28.
RuleWhat Google's page says
DurationUp to 30 seconds long
File sizeUp to 75 MB
Resolution720p or higher
VerificationPhotos and videos show up on Google only after you verify your Business Profile
ReviewEach upload is reviewed against Google's photo and video policies: Pending, Not approved or Live

How do I add a video to my Business Profile?

Google's steps on a computer:

  • Open Google Search or Maps.
  • Search for your business's name and city.
  • Click Photos, then Add photos.
  • Select your video. You can choose several photos or videos at once.

Why is my video not uploading or not showing?

Check these in order:

  • The file is outside Google's video requirements: longer than 30 seconds, larger than 75 MB, or below 720p.
  • The profile isn't verified. Media on an unverified profile stays Pending and doesn't show to customers.
  • It is still under review. Pending media doesn't show on Search or Maps, and Google says it can take up to 24–48 hours.
  • It was Not approved: the media was flagged for a policy violation, so it doesn't show.
  • For a missing upload, Google's tip is to check it isn't a duplicate, then upload it again.

Can I make a Business Profile video with AI?

Yes, as long as it shows your real business. Google's photo guidelines say an image should represent reality, so start from your own storefront, product or service photos and animate them, rather than generating a place that doesn't exist.

On Sume, POST /v1/videos with seedance-2.5 makes 4–30 second clips at 480p, 720p or 1080p. Send your photo as the first frame in frame_images (a public HTTPS URL) and set duration to 30 or less and resolution to 720p or 1080p. A talking presenter from Avatar 1.0 is 720p, the documented resolution; keep its script to 30 seconds. Sume's docs don't state output file sizes, so check the file against 75 MB before you upload. Video jobs bill at provider list × 1.25; see API pricing. More on first frames in Image to video API.
