Flyer to video: turn a promo flyer into a vertical clip

Make a 10-second vertical clip from a flyer image and a short clip of the shop, using Timeline 1.0 and a compose overlay for the offer.

To turn a flyer into a video, use the flyer image as a still slot in Timeline 1.0, put a short clip of the shop around it, and add the offer as text with Video captions or as a plate with Timeline compose. A 10-second result costs about $0.10 for Timeline plus $0.20 for the caption job, or about $0.12 if you use a compose overlay of a pre-made plate (rates from the Sume docs, read 2026-10-03). A flyer is a poster, so do not leave it on screen for the whole video: people read it in about 3 seconds.

Why the flyer is not the whole video

A static flyer for 10 seconds loses viewers. Give it 3 seconds in the middle, with a clip before and after, and put the offer in large text that can be read without zooming. If the flyer was made with an AI tool, see the AI flyer generator post for the image side.

Add the offer

Use Video captions with a cue for the offer, or build a PNG plate for Timeline compose. A plate is better when you reuse the design; cues are better when text changes each week. The flyer image has to be on your workspace's media.sume.com first.

Sume does not read the flyer or fix its text, so proofread it first.
