FLUX.2 interior design edit: repaint walls, swap flooring
Send a room photo as a public HTTPS image URL plus a prompt naming the change. BFL describes the FLUX.2 use case; Sume takes it as a reference edit.

Send the room photo as a public HTTPS URL in image_urls and put the change in prompt, for example "repaint the walls sage green and replace the carpet with oak flooring". BFL's guide says FLUX.2 can repaint walls, swap flooring, restyle rooms and adjust lighting in existing interior photos; on Sume that is a reference edit.
BFL's use case is from its Interior Design guide; request rules from Sume's Image generation and Image API docs, read 2026-10-01.
What does BFL say FLUX.2 can do with a room photo?
The guide lists repaint plus new flooring, a retro bedroom redesign, a retro kitchen redesign, a wall material plus lighting change, and filling a closet with a reflection added. Its instruction is to upload a photo of a room and describe the changes. Treat those as prompt ideas, not guarantees for your photo.
What does the Sume request carry?
| Part | Rule in the docs |
|---|---|
| Edit / reference | prompt + image_urls (1–10 public HTTPS URLs) |
| Model id | A catalog id such as black-forest-labs/flux.2-pro |
| URL rule | Localhost, private-network and non-HTTPS URLs are rejected before submission |
How do I make the photo reachable?
A file on your laptop or an intranet link will be rejected. Upload the photo somewhere public over HTTPS, then pass that URL. The Image API page repeats the rule for input_references: reference URLs must be public HTTPS.
How should I write the prompt?
Name one or two changes per request and say what must stay: "keep the window, furniture and layout". Run variants by changing one phrase at a time. For editing with several images, see FLUX.2 multi-reference editing.
