Fliki Free has no commercial use: the first plan that does, and Sume

Fliki's Free plan carries a watermark and no commercial use; Standard adds it. Here is where commercial rights start on Fliki and on Sume's plan ladder.

No, you cannot use Fliki's Free plan for commercial work. Fliki's pricing page lists the Free plan at $0 a month with 3 credits, 720p export and a Fliki watermark, and it marks commercial use as not included. The Standard plan is the first one the page marks as commercial. On Sume, the pricing FAQ points commercial work to Pro, which is $40 a month.

This post lays out where commercial rights start on each side, so you can pick the first plan you need rather than the biggest.

What does each Fliki plan allow?

The table below is copied from Fliki's pricing page as fetched on 2026-10-12. The page did not show a dollar price for Standard or Premium in the text we could read, so none is quoted here.

Free is a trial: the watermark and the missing commercial right mean a Free export is not something to publish for a client or a storefront. Anything you plan to sell, advertise with or post from a brand account needs Standard or above.

Where do commercial rights start on Sume?

Sume's pricing FAQ describes Free as image generation with limited Sume Agent access, and says to choose Pro for video generation, full Sume Agent access, API, CLI and MCP access, commercial work and the full generation catalog. So the same rule applies: the first paid plan is the commercial one.

The prices on Sume's plan ladder are Free $0, Pro $40, Startup $120 and Scale $400 a month. The differences between paid tiers are team workspace and concurrency, not commercial rights.

Pro$404Video models, full Sume Agent, API + CLI + MCP, commercial work

How do the two entry prices compare?

Fliki's Standard price was not legible in the page text we fetched, so a dollar comparison would be a guess. What can be compared is the shape: Fliki gates commercial use and length by credits per month, while Sume gates plan access by price and then bills each job at the model's published USD rate. A Sume Pro month also includes $40 of generation usage in the plan catalog, so the fee and the usage start from the same figure.

  • Check the license line on the plan you will actually buy, not the one in a demo.
  • Keep the exported file and a copy of the plan page for the date you generated it.
  • If you only need stills for a draft, Sume Free covers image generation without a card.

What should you do before publishing?

Confirm the plan on the account that rendered the file, since a downgrade later does not change what was true at render time but can complicate your records. For client work, keep the plan name and the date next to the deliverable. Then read each vendor's terms page for anything the pricing grid leaves out, such as voice or likeness restrictions.
