Etsy gift shop: 25 listing photos cut out and restyled for $1.66
Cut out 25 product photos and place each on a lifestyle backdrop for $1.66 on Sume: $0.0225 per cutout plus $0.04375 per Seedream 5.0 Lite edit.

An Etsy or Shopify gift seller can refresh 25 listings for $1.65625 on Sume: a background cutout at $0.0225 per photo ($0.5625) and a lifestyle backdrop edit with Seedream 5.0 Lite at $0.04375 per image ($1.09375) (read 2026-10-03). That is $0.06625 per listing.
Gift buyers search through December, and the last shipping dates arrive quickly. Cyber Monday is November 30, so listings that are updated in the first half of November have time to be indexed and reviewed. The pictures are only part of that job, but they are the part that is cheap to repeat.
Two jobs per listing
Cutout: send the hero photo to Remove Background and keep the transparent result. It gives you a clean white-background image for a main photo and a reusable object for banners. A cutout is not a retouch: edges on fur, glass and thin chains can need a look.
Lifestyle: send the original photo (or the cutout) as the only reference to Seedream 5.0 Lite and describe the setting, for example a linen runner, a window and pine branches for a candle. Set the aspect_ratio to the photo's own ratio. In the prompt, say the product must not change shape, color or label.
Run both jobs on one photo first and look at them at full size before you queue the other 24.
| Job | Model | Rate | Count | Subtotal |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cutout | Remove Background | $0.0225 | 25 | $0.5625 |
| Lifestyle backdrop edit | Seedream 5.0 Lite | $0.04375 | 25 | $1.09375 |
| Total | 50 | $1.65625 |
Keep it honest
A buyer must get what the picture shows. Do not use an edit to change a product's size, finish or contents, and keep at least one unedited photo in every listing. Marketplaces publish their own rules on photo content and on AI-generated imagery; read the current policy for your platform before you upload, and keep it with your listing notes.
Size matters for display, and the existing post on Etsy listing photo size covers the dimensions. If a backdrop looks wrong, one retake is $0.04375, so a full second pass over all 25 listings is another $1.09375, still under $3 for the entire catalog refresh (read 2026-10-03).
Budget and checks before you start
Start with the ten listings that sell best, not the whole shop. Ten listings come to $0.6625 for both jobs, and you can see within a week whether views and favorites change before you spend on the rest. Keep each product's original photo alongside the edited version so you can revert.
Name files by SKU and angle, for example candle-linen-main.png, so a batch run can be traced back to a listing. If you sell on several platforms, check each platform's photo rules for background color and for edited or generated imagery, because they differ and change.
