Cost per kept 8-second clip if you keep 1 in 1 to 1 in 4, by model
Billing is per attempt, not per keeper. Price one kept 8 s clip when you discard 0 to 3 takes first, across six Sume video models. Rates read 2026-10-07.

Sume bills every job you submit, so what a clip really costs you is the price of the attempts you throw away. The keep rate is yours to measure on your own prompts; the table below does not guess it. It shows the cost of one kept 8-second clip if you keep every take, one in two, one in three or one in four.
Each cell is the per-job price (list x 1.25, rounded up to the cent) multiplied by the number of attempts. Seedance 2.5 is priced at 720p 9:16, 21,600 tokens per second.
Cost of one kept 8 s clip
| Model | One attempt | 1 in 1 | 1 in 2 | 1 in 3 | 1 in 4 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Grok Imagine Video 1.5 (from a still) | $0.10 | $0.10 | $0.20 | $0.30 | $0.40 |
| MiniMax H3 768p | $0.60 | $0.60 | $1.20 | $1.80 | $2.40 |
| Gemini Omni Flash 1.1 720p | $1.00 | $1.00 | $2.00 | $3.00 | $4.00 |
| Wan 3.0 720p | $1.00 | $1.00 | $2.00 | $3.00 | $4.00 |
| Kling 3 Pro, silent | $1.12 | $1.12 | $2.24 | $3.36 | $4.48 |
| Seedance 2.5 720p 9:16 | $4.63 | $4.63 | $9.26 | $13.89 | $18.52 |
What the table says
The ordering never changes, but the gap does. A Seedance 2.5 attempt at $4.63 costs the same as 4.6 Omni Flash attempts at $1.00. If Seedance keeps one take in two and Omni keeps one in five, Seedance is $9.26 per keeper against $5.00. Break-even is the ratio of the two prices: Omni needs to keep fewer than about 1 in 4.6 takes before Seedance 2.5 at this setting is cheaper per keeper.
Grok Imagine looks cheapest at 10 cents per attempt, but it starts from a still, so you must also count the cost of making that still. Kling 3 at $1.12 silent is the only row in this table that accepts an end frame, which can cut retakes when the last shot is fixed.
Measure your own keep rate
Run 10 prompts three times each on two models, count what you would publish, and write the numbers next to this table. Sume models do not accept a seed, so a rerun is a new take, never a replay.
