Cost of a 30-second AI video ad: clips, captions, music
A 30-second AI ad costs $0.80 on Grok 720p and up to $6.73 on Kling 3 audio on, once clips, timeline render, captions and music are added. Sume prices.

A 30-second ad costs $0.80 end to end if the footage comes from Grok Imagine Video 1.5 at 720p and $6.73 if it comes from Kling 3 with audio on at 1080p. The clip model sets almost the whole bill; the finishing steps add $0.425.
The finishing steps
Three fixed prices from the docs apply to any ad: a timeline render at $0.10 per output minute rounded up, a caption job at $0.20 for a video up to 60 seconds, and one accepted music generation at $0.125. Together that is $0.425.
Totals for 30 seconds of footage
Footage is billed per second of generated video at the catalog rate. The ad assumes one take of exactly 30 seconds in total and one render.
| Footage model | Footage | Total with finishing |
|---|---|---|
| Grok Imagine Video 1.5, 720p | $0.375 | $0.80 |
| Wan 3.0, 720p | $3.75 | $4.175 |
| Gemini Omni Flash 1.1, 1080p | $5.625 | $6.05 |
| Kling 3 audio on, 1080p | $6.30 | $6.725 |
Where the money goes
On Grok the finishing steps are more than half the bill. On Kling 3 they are about 6 percent. If your ad is mostly voice or text on screen, cheaper footage lowers the total far more than skipping music.
- Timeline: $0.10 per output minute, so a 30-second ad is billed as one minute.
- Captions: one job covers a video up to 60 seconds.
- Music: billed per accepted generation, not per second.
Steps to price your own ad
Start from the shot list, then sum three lines: footage seconds times the catalog rate, plus $0.10 per output minute rounded up, plus $0.20 per caption job and $0.125 per accepted music generation. Multiply the footage line by your expected takes.
For a 30-second ad with six 5-second shots and a 1.5 take factor on Wan 720p, footage is $5.625 and the total is $6.05. The finishing steps did not change; only the footage line moved.
- Use a flat take factor for budgeting, then replace it with measured data.
- Re-price when a model in the catalog changes.
Limits
Retakes multiply the footage line, and Grok clips are 4 to 15 seconds, so 30 seconds is at least two requests. The tables show the model amount. A workspace Agent Fee line can be added on top, so treat the job's own usage cost as the truth and check the live catalog before you budget; limits and rows change.
