Each Captions credit works out to about $0.05 on every paid plan, and one Sume caption job costs $0.20, the price of four. Captions' pricing page, read on 2026-10-04, lists Max at $24.99 a month for 500 credits and Frontier 1x at $69.99 for 1,400, with 2x and 4x at $139.99 and $279.99 for 2,800 and 5,600.

What the page does and does not say

The page says unused credits roll over for up to three months. I did not record a credit cost for any single finished video, so this post cannot price a video on their side. Check the in-app cost before you budget.

What Sume prices in dollars

Sume has no credit unit; every rate is in dollars. Two list rates from the captions docs and the avatar video guide make a useful yardstick: captions burned onto a clip of 60 seconds or less are $0.20, and a talking avatar clip is $0.245 per second on the default plus tier.

Sume list rates from the docs, read 2026-10-04

Video captions$0.20 per jobOne 45-second clip$0.20
Avatar video, plus, no product$0.245 per second20 seconds$4.90
Avatar video, plus, with product$0.258 per second20 seconds$5.16

Which pricing shape suits you

Credits suit someone who opens an app daily and wants a flat bill. Dollar pricing suits a team that runs jobs from code, where 200 caption jobs cost $40.00 and nothing carries over. If you already hold unused credits, the three-month rollover limit is a reason to spend them rather than buy more.
