Beauty-studio Format for a holiday makeup launch, plus a still
Pair Sume's beauty-studio video Format with the model-and-product portrait still Format for a holiday makeup launch from the same product image.

Two Formats, one campaign
A makeup launch needs a clip and a still that look related. sume-beauty-studio is the video side: "a finished beauty-studio video with a model, cosmetic product, soft editorial lighting, and polished tabletop or vanity styling", for skincare launches, makeup campaigns, beauty product reels and clean studio brand films. sume-model-product-portrait is the still side: "a finished model-and-product portrait image with intimate beauty framing, natural skin, accurate packaging, and editorial composure".
Send the same product image to both through attachments and ask for the same palette in instruction. The Formats do not promise identical results across runs, so review the pair rather than assuming a match.
Why a gifting palette goes in the instruction
Holiday beauty is a gifting season, so the brief carries the season: a gift set on a vanity, warm lights, and a short deadline line. The instruction is composed after the Format's own recipe, so where your words and the recipe disagree, yours win. Keep the product claims factual and limited to what the pack says.

Each Format has a declared IO profile and sometimes a showcase. GET /v1/formats/sume/{slug} returns io with input_kind (url, text, image or product) and output_kind (video, image or text), plus a showcase that is real output from registration. Both can be null, which means not declared, not that the Format takes no input.
| Format | Output | Described for |
|---|---|---|
| sume-beauty-studio | video | skincare launches, makeup campaigns, beauty product reels, studio brand films |
| sume-model-product-portrait | image | skincare endorsements, cosmetic portrait campaigns, model-led product stills |
Budget the pair
Run the still first because it is the cheaper check of the product likeness, then the video. Cap each run with generation_spend_cap_usd, since a Format without its own cap inherits $400 and the platform maximum is $500. Finished media is mirrored to media.sume.com with durable URLs, so store the primary_output_url of each run.

More in Formats
- Bulk run items ignore on_active_run skip and reject
A Format bulk queue runs every item with on_active_run allow, so skip or reject on an item will not serialize it. Set concurrency to control parallel runs.
- Revise 20 finished videos in one Sume bulk queue with previous_run_id
Each bulk item can carry previous_run_id, so one queue re-edits twenty finished runs. A preflight for thread_id, the repeated schema, and the cost per item.
- Bulk virtual try-on videos for a catalog: 100 SKUs per queue
Queue up to 100 try-on runs in one POST: concurrency 1 to 16, one garment image per item, a spend cap each, and how to read the failures afterwards.
- Calling a Formats by Sume entry: the sume handle, not yours
Formats by Sume run at POST /v1/formats/sume/{slug}/runs with any key holding formats:write. Your own handle returns 404, and a fork lives at your handle.
