A baby announcement video needs something soft and unhurried. A brief that tends to suit: "Gentle instrumental lullaby, 70 BPM, music box and soft piano, warm pad, tender and happy, no vocals, no drums, a slow fade at the end." Google's music generation page, read on 2026-10-05, lists an instrumental option and says Lyria 3.5 outputs 44.1 kHz stereo, in MP3 by default. On Sume a take is $0.125 through the Music Router.

Keep it personal and safe

Do not ask for a specific song, even a traditional lullaby, by title with lyrics: Google's page says safety filters block copyrighted lyrics and artist voices, and a lyric-free instrumental avoids the issue altogether. Ask for an original melody instead.

Timeline settings

On a Timeline 1.0 render, put the track in soundtrack with gain_db a few dB under 0 and fade_out_seconds of 3 to 5 (the limit is 10). A 45-second video renders at $0.10, so one take plus one render is $0.225. Run the unbilled plan call first: a fade longer than the output returns soundtrack_fade_exceeds_output.

If you include a spoken message, set duck_db to 6 to 10 so the music steps down under it. Google lists Lyria 3.5 at $0.08 per song on its pricing page, read on 2026-10-05, and the Sume price is what your account pays.

  • Take: $0.125.
  • Render: $0.10 for any video up to one output minute.
  • Total for one take and one render: $0.225.
