Amazon Sponsored Brands video audio: PCM, AAC or MP3, and Sume
Amazon Sponsored Brands video takes PCM, AAC or MP3 audio, 16:9 only, 6-45 s. Sume's audio-detach gives wav pcm_s16le or 128 kbps mp3; a Sume MP4 needs a probe.

Amazon Sponsored Brands video accepts audio as PCM, AAC or MP3. Sume's audio-detach route returns wav (pcm_s16le) by default or mp3 at 128 kbps, so both of its outputs fall in Amazon's accepted list. But audio-detach makes a separate audio file, not a ready ad. The video you upload still needs to meet the 16:9, 6-45 second rules, and the audio codec inside your MP4 is something to read from a probe, not assume.

What Sume gives you for audio
Audio detach takes one video that your workspace hosts and returns a new audio artifact. The video does not change. The job costs $0.01 per job per the docs (confirm the live rate in the catalog).
Options per the docs: format is wav (default, pcm_s16le) or mp3 (128 kbps); sample_rate is 16000, 44100 or 48000 (omit it to inherit the source); channels is source or mono. A source with no audio track fails with detach_source_has_no_audio. Use wav when you want a lossless spine for a re-edit, and mp3 for a light review file.
Aspect ratio is the bigger risk
Amazon accepts 16:9 only, while Timeline 1.0 defaults to a 1080x1920 vertical MP4. Set output.width and output.height (even integers, 256-2160) explicitly. Within that range, 1920x1080 and 1280x720 both fit Amazon's list; 3840x2160 is above Timeline's 2160 limit, so it is not available from Timeline. Frame rate options in Timeline are 24, 25, 30 or 60: 24, 25 and 30 all sit inside Amazon's 23.976-30 range, while 60 does not.
Letterbox bars are a rejection reason on the Amazon page. If you place a vertical clip inside 16:9, do not leave black, color or blurred bars. Timeline's fit options include blur, which fills the frame with a blurred copy and may read as the blurred bars Amazon rejects, so prefer cover.
Before you submit
- Run the final MP4 through video-inspect and read the probe; do not state the audio codec from memory.
- Confirm length is 6-45 s and file size is 500 MB or less.
- Keep the lower right corner free of logos and text.
- Use the marketplace language for on-screen text and voice.
