Amazon Sponsored Brands video at 20 s: two Omni 1080p clips, $3.86
Amazon allows 6 to 45 seconds, 16:9 only, and recommends 20 or less. At Sume rates, two 10-second Omni 1080p clips plus a Timeline stitch cost $3.86.

For a Sponsored Brands video, Amazon accepts 6 to 45 seconds, says 20 seconds or less is highly recommended, and allows 16:9 only at 1280x720, 1920x1080, or 3840x2160 (Amazon Ads specs, read 2026-10-05). A 20-second cut on Sume is two 10-second Gemini Omni Flash 1.1 clips at 1080p stitched by Timeline, and the total is $3.86.
The cost math
Omni Flash 1.1 lists at $0.15 per second at 1080p in the Video Router notes, billed at list times 1.25, so $0.1875 per second. A 10-second clip is $1.875, which rounds up to $1.88 on the clip total. Two clips are $3.76, and Timeline 1.0 charges $0.10 per started output minute, so a 20-second render adds $0.10. Total $3.86.
Omni is capped at 10 seconds per clip and takes 16:9 or 9:16, which is why a 20-second ad needs two. Pin aspect_ratio to 16:9 in each request.
| Ad length | Amazon status | Omni clips | Clip cost | Timeline | Total |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 6 s | Minimum | 1 x 6 s | $1.13 | none | $1.13 |
| 10 s | Within 20 s guidance | 1 x 10 s | $1.88 | none | $1.88 |
| 20 s | Highly recommended ceiling | 2 x 10 s | $3.76 | $0.10 | $3.86 |
| 30 s | Allowed, above guidance | 3 x 10 s | $5.64 | $0.10 | $5.74 |
Specs to set on the stitch
Amazon lists the frame rates 23.976, 23.98, 24, 25, 29.97, 29.98, and 30, a minimum bitrate of 1 Mbps (4 Mbps or higher recommended), and H.264 or H.265 in an MP4 or MOV of 500 MB or less. Set Timeline output.width and output.height to 1920 and 1080, since the default output is 1080x1920 vertical, and output.fps to 24, 25, or 30 so the render matches the list.
Amazon also says to avoid placing critical content in the lower right corner and to match the language of the marketplace. Put the logo and offer elsewhere in the frame and caption in the language of the store.
- Request
aspect_ratio: "16:9"andresolution: "1080p"on each clip. - Timeline output is 1080x1920 unless you set it to 1920x1080.
- Timeline takes an audio spine, so add a soundtrack or silence rather than relying on each clip's own sound.
Before you pay for the second clip
Run POST /v1/timeline-1.0/plan on the stitch first. It is unbilled and returns billable_minutes and estimated_cost_usd_micros, so you can confirm the $0.10 before the render. Confirm clip prices against GET /v1/videos/models, since rates change.
