Between 17 and 30 September 2026, vendor changelogs record creative tools reaching agent hosts: Runway's MCP on Grok Bot and then Cursor, and a Higgsfield extension inside ChatGPT. A hosted ElevenLabs MCP dated 2026-08-22 is reported by a third party. If you want to generate video from the agent you already use, the useful question is which host accepts a remote MCP server, not which vendor made the announcement.

The dated entries below come from the Runway and Higgsfield changelogs, read 2026-10-02, except the ElevenLabs row, which is from Daily AI Pedia. Sume's side comes from the MCP overview and quickstart docs. This page does not rank any of them.

What did the changelogs record, and when?

The table lists only entries the pages state with a date. It says nothing about quality, price or how well any tool works, because the changelogs do not.

Does a host need a vendor-specific plugin to call Sume?

No. Sume exposes one hosted MCP server at https://mcp.sume.com/mcp. Any host that can add a remote MCP server can connect with OAuth or an API key. The quickstart lists the host steps, and tools_list shows what your session can call.

OAuth mcp:read sees read-only tools. Paid tools such as generate_video appear with mcp:write or an API key, and every paid call needs an idempotency_key.

Which Sume tools matter for video in a host?

generate_video creates a clip. If you omit payload.model it routes to sume/auto; name a model only when you need one. jobs_wait waits in slices, assets_download_url returns the file, and video_inspect describes what a finished clip contains.

Image 1.0 and Video 1.0 are REST-only, so they are not MCP tools. The Video Router models are.

What should I check before a host spends money?

Run generation_admission_preview or pass dry_run=true for a cost preview, and set max_spend_usd when you want a hard ceiling. Both are optional gates, so an agent only uses them if told to.

Put that instruction in the host's rules file, then try one short clip before asking for a batch. A video is billed at provider list price times 1.25.
