AI name badge and business card art: art from AI, names from data
For badges and business cards, generate the design art with AI and set each person's name and contact lines from data. Ideogram 4.5 edits can fix one text line.
To make a name badge or business card with AI, generate the background, color blocks and logo area as art, then place each person's name, title and contact lines from a spreadsheet. If you need the text inside the generated image, use Ideogram 4.5 and read every line back. One badge with a typo costs more than the image did.
Generate the template once
Ask for the layout, not the names: a band, a logo area, a clear text zone. Use a portrait ratio for a badge (3:4 or 2:3) and a landscape ratio for a card (16:10 is listed for Ideogram 4.5). Request no text.

If the logo must appear in the art, send the template first and the logo second in input_references. Ideogram 4.5 edits the first image and treats the others as references. The two-reference logo pattern is in add a logo to a product image.
Set names from data
For a list of 300 attendees, a template plus a text step is faster, exact and repeatable. Keep one row per person, render each name with a real font at the print size, and export a PDF or PNG per badge. This also makes late changes safe: edit the row, not the art.
Print check
- Confirm the physical size, then compare the pixel size against it.
- Keep text away from the edges so trimming does not cut a letter.
- Print one sheet first and read every name aloud against the list.
- Store the prompt, model id and job id with the template file.
When AI-drawn text is acceptable
A single, short, non-critical line such as an event title can be generated in the image. Make four takes with n: 4, choose the cleanest, and fix the rest with a one-label edit. Anything that identifies a person should come from data.
