An $11.05 bake-off: five prompts across four trending Sume video rows
Five prompts at 5 seconds on Omni 720p, Kling 3 720p, MiniMax H3 768p and H3 Max 768p cost $0.63, $0.70, $0.38 and $0.50 each: $11.05 for all 20 jobs.

Five prompts on four Sume video rows, 5 seconds each, cost $11.05 in total: $3.15 on Omni at 720p, $3.50 on Kling 3 at 720p with audio off, $1.90 on MiniMax H3 at 768p and $2.50 on H3 Max at 768p. That is 20 jobs, and the price of one prompt across all four rows is $2.21.
Rates are provider list times 1.25 per second, rounded up to the cent per job, from Sume's Video Router docs as read on 2026-10-07.
Per-job price
| Row and setting | Per second | One 5 s job | Five prompts |
|---|---|---|---|
| gemini-omni-flash-1.1, 720p | $0.125 | $0.63 | $3.15 |
| kling-3, 720p, audio off | $0.14 | $0.70 | $3.50 |
| minimax-h3, 768p | $0.075 | $0.38 | $1.90 |
| minimax-h3-max, 768p | $0.10 | $0.50 | $2.50 |
| Total | $2.21 | $11.05 |
What each row is being tested for
- Omni: the edit mode, references and short-clip default; 3 to 10 seconds only.
- Kling 3: motion from a prompt or between two frames; no references.
- H3: native 768p with a reference stack at the lowest cost of the four.
- H3 Max: the 1080p-capable variant of H3, shown here at the same 768p.
How to keep it honest
Use the same prompt text and the same aspect ratio on every row, and 16:9 is the one all four accept. Kling's price here is the silent setting; with audio on, the same five jobs would cost $5.25 instead of $3.50, and the total $12.80. The other three always include audio, so the silent Kling run is not an equal comparison on sound.
| Setting | Kling five prompts | All four rows |
|---|---|---|
| Audio off | $3.50 | $11.05 |
| Audio on | $5.25 | $12.80 |
After the first pass
Pick the two best rows by eye, then repeat the winning prompts at the resolution you will ship. The first pass is the cheap one: under $12 for all twenty jobs.
Reading the result fairly
With 20 clips in hand, judge them blind. Rename the files with random codes, watch each once and mark a score for motion, prompt match and artifacts before you look at which row made them. Prices make a row look better or worse before you see its output, so hide them too.
Then open the key and compare the scores to the cost per prompt. If one row scores slightly lower but costs half, it may be the better default for drafts.
- Same five prompts on every row.
- Same 5-second length and 768p or 720p frame.
- Blind scoring, then reveal.
Keeping the test repeatable
Record the prompt text, row id, resolution, length and job id for every clip in one sheet. Re-running a test next month then costs the same $11.05 only if the catalog has not changed, so read the live model list first. Keep the winning clips, because a saved file is evidence and a vendor link may not last. Do not mix settings between rows: a 5-second clip at 768p on one row and 8 seconds at 1080p on another is not a comparison, it is two different products. If a row cannot match the shared settings, say so in the sheet and leave it out of the ranking rather than bending the rest to fit it.
