What the extra money buys

Not a better image: the model is the same family. Sume's price covers the job API, the shared balance with other models, and the Sume-side handling documented in the Image API docs. The Google page excerpt read for this post does not state batch turnaround, so no claim about timing is made.

If you are already generating thousands of Nano Banana images and nothing else, Google's batch is cheaper by a wide margin. For mixed work, price the whole pipeline, not one line.

Smaller steps

At 2K the per-image prices are $0.0252 (Google batch), $0.0504 (standard) and $0.15 (Sume), so 3,000 images are $75.60, $151.20 and $450.00. The 0.5K tier is $0.075 per image on Sume, or $225.00 for 3,000. Always re-read both pages; prices change.
