$17 of MiniMax H3 Max on Sume: 54, 34 or 17 five-second clips
A $17 balance buys 54 five-second MiniMax H3 Max clips at 480p, 34 at 768p or 17 at 1080p on Sume. For 15-second clips: 18, 11 or 5. The division is shown.

A $17.00 workspace balance buys 54 five-second clips of minimax-h3-max at 480p, 34 at 768p or 17 at 1080p on Sume. The clips are 5 seconds, the shortest the row accepts. At the 15-second ceiling the same balance buys 18 clips at 480p, 11 at 768p or 5 at 1080p. All of these include native stereo audio, which the row always produces.
The division
Sume per-second rates for this row are $0.0625 at 480p, $0.10 at 768p and $0.20 at 1080p (provider list times 1.25). A job reserves its full price at submit, so the number of clips is the balance divided by the clip price, rounded down.
| Resolution | 5 s price | 5 s clips (spend) | 15 s price | 15 s clips (spend) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 480p | 5 x $0.0625 = $0.3125 | 54 ($16.88) | 15 x $0.0625 = $0.9375 | 18 ($16.88) |
| 768p | 5 x $0.1 = $0.5 | 34 ($17.00) | 15 x $0.1 = $1.5 | 11 ($16.50) |
| 1080p | 5 x $0.2 = $1 | 17 ($17.00) | 15 x $0.2 = $3 | 5 ($15.00) |
Reading the table
The 480p tier gives 3.2 times as many clips as 1080p, because the 1080p rate is 3.2 times the 480p rate ($0.20 against $0.0625). The 768p tier is the native one; 1080p is a latent refinement from native 768p, so the step from 768p to 1080p doubles the price without adding native detail.
These counts assume every job succeeds. The docs say failed jobs are refunded, so a failed clip does not use up the balance; only completed output is captured.
- Duration range: 5 to 15 seconds.
- Reference-to-video is billed as output seconds, with no extra line for references.
- Top up before a batch: if the balance cannot cover the reservation, the job is not accepted.
A sensible split
Spend part of the balance on exploration and part on keepers. For example, 20 five-second drafts at 480p cost 20 x $0.3125 = $6.25. The remaining $10.75 then buys 10 clips of 5 seconds at 1080p ($10.00). That plan uses $16.25 of $17.00.
Reading the spend column
The spend figures matter more than the clip counts. At 15 seconds and 768p, 11 clips use $16.50 and leave $0.50, which is not enough for any further clip. At 480p, 18 clips use $16.875 and leave 12.5 cents. Remainders are the reason to mix tiers in one batch.
If your plan is a campaign of equal clips, divide the budget by the price of the clip you will actually publish, then add a draft allowance on top.
