A 15-second Sume avatar ad that includes a product image costs $2.91 at standard, $3.87 at plus and $8.70 at max. The per-second rates with a product image are $0.194, $0.258 and $0.58. Without the image the same 15 seconds would be $2.76, $3.675 and $8.25, so the product image adds $0.15, $0.195 and $0.45.

Rates with and without the image

The catalog lists two sets of per-second prices for avatar video. The higher set applies when the request includes a product image.

Per-second avatar video prices and 15 s totals (catalog read 2026-10-09)
TierNo imageWith imagePremium per second15 s with image
standard$0.184$0.194$0.01$2.91
plus$0.245$0.258$0.013$3.87
max$0.55$0.58$0.03$8.70

How much the image adds

The premium is $0.010 per second at standard, $0.013 at plus and $0.030 at max. On a 15-second ad that is $0.15, $0.195 and $0.45. Percentage-wise it is 5.4 percent at standard, 5.3 percent at plus and 5.5 percent at max.

Across 100 ads of 15 seconds at standard, the product image adds $15.00 in total. That is small against the $276.00 of base video cost, so the decision to include the product should rest on the creative, not the price.

Planning a test of variants

Billing is reserved at submit and refunded if a job fails or is canceled, so a bad variant that fails costs nothing.

  • Run the first variant at standard with the image and judge the framing from the preview.
  • Keep the script near 15 seconds; the allowed range per job is 4 to 60 seconds.
  • Reuse one avatar handle, so there is no new $0.95 per variant.
  • Ten variants at standard with the image are $29.10; with plus they are $38.70.

Where the details live

The request fields are in the avatar video docs, and the live per-second prices are in the Sume catalog.

Reading the premium against ad spend

An avatar ad is usually a small line against media spend. If a 15-second standard ad with the image costs $2.91 to make, a team that tests 20 hooks spends $58.20 on production. The premium part of that is $3.00. Tier choice moves the total far more than the image does: the same 20 hooks at max with the image are $174.00.

A practical split is to test hooks at standard, and render only the winning script at plus or max for the final cut. Preview stills are the same at every tier, so you can approve the framing in a preview before choosing how much to spend on the full video.
