A 12-second product avatar ad with captions: $2.53 to $7.16
A 12 second avatar video with a product costs $2.33, $3.10 or $6.96 by tier. A standalone $0.20 caption job makes it $2.53, $3.30 or $7.16.
A 12 second avatar video with a product image costs $2.33 on standard, $3.10 on plus and $6.96 on max, using the per-second product rates of $0.194, $0.258 and $0.58. A standalone caption job adds a flat $0.20, so the finished ad is $2.53, $3.30 or $7.16.
The parts
The Avatar video guide lets you add a product_image and a quality tier. The Video captions guide says each accepted standalone caption job reserves and captures $0.20 for videos of up to 60 seconds.
| Tier | Video with product | Caption job | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| standard | $2.328 | $0.20 | $2.528 |
| plus | $3.096 | $0.20 | $3.296 |
| max | $6.96 | $0.20 | $7.16 |
Inline versus standalone captions
The Avatar guide notes that inline captions do not create a separate billed caption job; the avatar estimate carries them as an add-on instead. The docs do not state that add-on's price, so the table uses the standalone job, whose price is stated. Standalone captions make sense when you already have a finished clip, or want to restyle later without regenerating.
Scaling to a campaign
Twenty ads on plus come to 20 x $3.296 = $65.92. Split across the three tiers, the same count costs $50.56 on standard and $143.20 on max. Pick the tier from how many ads reach a real audience: draft on standard, then re-render only the winners on max.
The product rate applies per second of the whole clip, so a product shown for only part of the video still raises the whole price.
A tier decision
The gap between tiers is large per second but small per ad. On a 12 second product ad, plus costs $0.77 more than standard ($3.30 vs $2.53), and max costs $3.86 more than plus. If one ad in ten wins, rendering only that ad again on max adds $7.16, and the whole test of ten standard drafts plus one max final costs 10 x $2.53 + $7.16 = $32.46.
Compare that with ten max renders at $71.60. Drafting cheap and finishing once is the lower-cost route when the draft quality is good enough to judge the script.
- Product rates: $0.194, $0.258 and $0.58 per second.
- Standalone caption job: $0.20 for videos up to 60 seconds.
- Duration must stay in the 4 to 60 second window.
Preview before paying for the full render
The avatar video previews guide describes first-frame stills before a full render. Use it to confirm the framing of the product, then submit the video. The guide says to call generate-video on the preview id after approval. Check the live catalog for the preview price before assuming it is free.
